The PD8X is a power-over-ethernet enabled backplane and network switch.

  • Local control: integrated LCD touchscreen display
  • Automatic module detection: uses standard network-layer technology like DHCP option 82 and mDNS to recognize where and when Nine Fives compatible slot modules are plugged in or removed
  • Rack networking: with our NineVue rack configuration software, 1 or more PD8X backplanes can be networked together directly via their touch panels or from the UI
  • No manual setup: no manual network configuration management is necessary
