The PD8X is a power-over-ethernet enabled backplane and network switch with an integrated LCD touchscreen display. It utilizes standard network-layer technology like DHCP option 82 and mDNS to recognize where and when Nine Fives compatible slot modules are plugged in or removed.
By using our NineVue rack configuration software, 1 or more PD8X backplanes can be networked together directly via their touch panels or from the UI. No manual network configuration management is necessary.
